One of a series of explorations of the Irish farmyard typology, these house plans are designed to face north.

The house consists of 2 blocks – a single storey and a 2 storey element separated by a glazed lobby which is the entrance to the house.  An entrance courtyard is created for the public to the north while the living and sleeping spaces are located to the south to track the sun and are positioned to create private sheltered patio spaces.

Accommodation consists of an airy bright kitchen-dining and family room which together with service spaces [utility and toilet] are located in a single storey block with cathedral ceilings.

The two storey element contains the living room which faces south and opens onto a patio, together with 4 south facing double bedrooms, 3 of which are located upstairs with the bathroom. The master bedroom is en-suite with walk in wardrobe.

The house is finished externally in plaster, slate roof, dark fascias, half round gutters, zinc roofed link and dark coloured windows.
