Inspired by vernacular house design from Kerry’s south western coast, these house plans are designed to face south, east or if mirrored, west.

It features a porch with space for boot store, a generous dining-kitchen designed as the heart of the home, a light-filled living room, and off the dining-kitchen, a family room with windows on three sides. To the rear are the services spaces – utility and toilet - which are designed to be readily extendable.  The bedroom accommodation is on the first floor and consists of four generous double bedrooms which all face south. The master bedroom has an En-Suite and walk in wardrobe.

Part of a family of designs including the Caragh and the Ferta, a core design principle is the inherent flexibility of this particular design - this design is presented as a 3, 4 or 5 bedroom design - with additional scope for extension.

Externally the house is finished in a simple palette of plaster, slate, dark fascias and windows, half round gutters and zinc roofed extension.
